Winnebago County Board Organizational Meeting

Today at 6:00 p.m. is the Winnebago County Board organizational meeting.

This is an important meeting where the new Chair and Vice Chair are elected. (Chair and Vice Chair are two of the more powerful positions on the board). The winners need a majority. Nominations will be made on the floor.

Word has it that Koby Schellenger (D23) and Tom Egan (D33) are interested in the Chair position.

And there are quite a few interested in the Vice Chair position including Bryan Stafford (D10) and Mike Norton (D20), Chuck Farrey (30) and David Albrecht (11).
